I'm using Nero 10.

I want to create an ISO file from a DVD that contains a movie.

How do I do that?

Import your disc in Vision, Make DVD or Make Movie and just go to the burn screen and select the Image Recorder. It will burn a .nrg file which is the Nero version of a ISO file.

I think you can do the same thing in StartSmart- Copy Disc, Express and Burning Rom.

Hi Jonathan,

when copying a disc you can create an image using Nero, however this will not be an ISO file but an NRG-file - but as wither said this is just Nero's own image file format. You can create an image by using the "Copy Disc" option either in Nero Express (choose "Image, Project, Copy", then "Copy Disc" from the startscreen) or Nero Burning ROM (click "Extras", then "Copy Disc"). This will create an exact image of the DVD. Of course importing the material in Nero Vision would also work but you would lose the menu since this will not be imported along with the video material itself.

Best regards
