Image file was created with Nero?

If image was created not with Nero it is protected or not ?

If you downloaded it from internet, it has correct MD5 checksum ?

You can reproduce this issue only with this image ?

Try burning at 2x.

In addition, Benchmark one of the failure discs in Nero Disk Speed to see what the actual write speed is or if there are any problems.

Hi sanjibhar,

Were the discs that you tried from different brands? Were they different kind of discs? For example DVD-R and DVD+R?

Best regards,

Hi,

I'll collate all the questions.....

Raimondas,

1. The image file is prepared by a software Convertx2DVD, having a size of 4.14 GB and not protected, as the same image file got burned successfully on the 4th disc.
2. It was not downloaded from net, please let me know how can I check the correct checksum.
3. The issue is not happened every time I try to burn, but it happened only while burning .iso file.

wither,
1. All the three disc mentioned above, where burning failed, became non-readable, and the explorer and Nero gets hanged, when I insert them for reading.
2. I was burning them in 16x, I tried with 8x but still it failed, the successful one burned in 16x.

Infohelp...
1. All the disc are of same brand (moserbaer) and of same type (DVD +R).

Well I have a question in my mind, how big .iso file can I able to burn on a disc of 4.7 GB.

I hope all your queries are answered, please let me know your thoughts in this.

I would still try one at 2x.

Try an unused disk in Disk Speed. It seems to me that someone, long ago, had a problem with this brand of discs and ended up switching to another.

Hi sanjibhar,

DVD-R discs have a maximum capacity of 4,707,319,808 bytes. DVD+R discs have only 4,700,372,992 bytes. The consequence is that you cannot copy a completely full DVD-R disc onto a DVD+R disc.

This is why I asked which kind of discs you were using.
If the .ISO file is 4.14GB you should be able to burn it to both discs.

Some tips for you that might solve the problem:

1) Please update the firmware for you recorder. You have version SB01 installed on your system. According to the information that I found in the web, there is a version SB03 available (http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/SingleModel.aspx?DriveId=1523)
I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your recorder to get this firmware.
2) Try another kind of discs, and another brand.
3) Try a slower speed, as wither suggested
4) Install the latest Nero 7 update. You can download it from here: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero7-update.php

I am pretty sure that if you follow these steps the problem will be fixed.
Please let us know!

Hi,

Sorry for replying late,

I did burn the disc on 4x speed, it burned successfully, well now I brought DVD's of Sony, the first one also burned successfully,
I have not yet updated the firmware or Nero, I'll do it, once I have little bit of time, but it seems to be working as of now.

Thanks for all your help, I really mean it.

Glad it's working now. The Sony DVD's I use are -RW and they say 1-4x on the hub.
