I have captured video from my skyHD box and the ration is 4:3 I think...well it is squashed...and I want to put it back into 16:9 but the ratio is just not right...can anyone help with how to get it to the proper ratio without black borders...

Kriss :)

You can use Recode \Recode Videos and Movies to Nero Digital. Import your files. There will be a Video tab below the list. Select Settings. You can crop and resize within that. Then Recode your files.

Note that when you import a file, you should be able to see it's format, including aspect ratio, by selecting the Info tab. In some of the apps, the information is listed automatically or if you hover over a title, or if you right click and select properties. I've never tried to remember that kind of stuff.
