I just installed a copy of Nero 10 on a new Windows 7 system. When I launch MediaHub, the program icon appears in the TaskBar, the Nero animated logo appears for a few seconds, then nothing appears on the screen (no window). The Task Manager shows MediaHub is running and the CPU pins. If I click on the program icon, I can see two window title bars flash from the bottom of the screen to the middle, as if the windows had been minimized and are now being maximized. But no window appears. I can see the title bars go back in the other direction (to the bottom of the screen) when I click on the program icon again, but they disappear.
Has anyone seen this? Is there a fix? The other Nero 10 programs that I've tried so far launch OK with visible windows (though at least two of them have serious bugs I'll report under the appropriate topic.) |

I had a similar problem with StartSmart. I have the shortcut on the taskbar. Sometimes when I click on it, the StartSmart screen will show in all it's glory. Most of the time, it puts the icon to show it's running on the task bar and I have to click on it once or twice to get the screen. I tried setting the properties of the Startsmart shortcut to maximize, minimize and normal window. After making one of the settings, usually the shortcut opens it to the regular screen the first time but then goes back to the old behavior after I close out and try to start it again. I noticed that the shortcut doesn't have the path to the .exe file so I filled that in but it didn't help. I finally noticed that this behavior happens when I have another window open. If I launch it when only the desktop is showing, it opens to the opening screen every time. I don't know how to set it to "always be on top". I think I'll talk to TS about it.
I know this doesn't help you. If you run NMH from the .exe in the Nero MediaHub folder do you get this problem? This post has been edited by wither: May 7 2010, 08:54 PM |
