I bought a new Sony camcorder with a 30 gb HD in it. In order to get video off of it, I had to buy a DVD burner so I can put my video on it so I can view.

The new DVD came with Nero 7 on it, smart start essential. I connect the camcorder to the pc, and the pc sees it. However when I hit the video capture button in nero to get the video off the camcorder, I get a message from Nero that say that no supported capture device was detected.

How do I get the program to recognize my camcorder. Here are the specifics:

Camcorder: Sony DCR-SR 45

Windows XP SP2, ATI Radeon 9800 Video card.

I'm connecting it through my USB port, and the software that came with the camcorder can pull it off with an issue. What do I need to do to get Nero to recognize?

I forgot to mention that it was Nero 7 Essentials that I got with my DVD burner. Don't know if that will make a difference or not in the replies but it's worth a shot.
