burning audio only from video file

XP. Nero 6. I have a large folder consisting of short videos downloaded from YouTube. I want to burn the Audio only to CD, that will play in stand alone CD player. The videos consist of short songs. Please tell me how to separate the audio, and the format required?

Open the file in Vision and export the audio to a file. Look at the Vision help for how to do this. You would burn your audio CD using Burning Rom.

Is Vision a program?

Vision is part of the Nero suite. When you open Nero 6, do you get a list of the included applications from which you can choose the application you want? If Vision isn't included, please tell me which applications are included.

I'm assuming you're using the full blown Nero 6 and not Essentials or a OEM (original equipment manufacturer) version. According to the website, Vision express 3 is included in the full version.

On opening Nero 6, I get the following applications. Nero Burning Rom; Nero Express; Nero ImageDrive; Nero SoundTrax; Nero WaveEditor; Nero Backitup; Nero Cover Designer. But no Vision. I have downloaded NV3.1.0.7_eng exe, which is supposed to add NeroVision. But when I open this application, it rushes through all the files,shows a notice "NeroVision Language-Please install NeroVision first". So how do I install NeroVision? Apparently I am doing something wrong, and would be grateful for any help.

I couldn't find that file at the website. It must be an update file so, if you don't have Vision already, it won't install.

I don't think you're going to be able to do what you want without Vision. According to the website, you can buy the latest V6 update for $12.99. However, that is an update- it says you already have to own V6. Since you don't have the full version of 6, I'm not sure this would be of any benefit. You could go to their live chat and ask them.

If you're system meets the requirements for Reloaded, you could buy that at a reasonable price. You could also probably find a full version of 6, 7 or 8 on e-bay or another website. For any later version, you must make sure your system meets the necessary requirements to get full capability from the program.

wither,thank you. I have now installed Vision,But on opening it seems you need a program MusicGrabber. And it is not included in Vision. Is it a Nero program?

Hi - you are using a fairly old version of Nero but provided it can import the you tube files all you need to do is as follows:

Pretend you're making a DVD in Nero Vision, drag the you tube file onto the project Window add it to the timeline and then just export the project as audio (pcm .wav).

Music grabber is part of the later Nero suites. I think it started in v9 but am not sure if that's the earliest.
