Burning DATA CD fails - Nero 6

Hey everbody, I have a problem with Nero 6, when I start burning CD, it starts, and then there is a message "this mode is illegal for this track" and then burning stops, I have never seen such message before, it burns DVD-s ok, but wont burn CD, pleaseee help???

What part of Nero are you using? What is the file format? What type of Cd are you using (-R, etc.)? What is your OS?

It is version 6.6.0.18, file format is mp3(that is the file that I wanna burn to CD in this case, but I tried to burn anything, it doesn"t work), it is Maxell CD-R Cd, OS is Windows XP Professional SP3 and drive is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-215D, I"ve never had problems with Nero before this, it started sudden couple days ago

Thanks for the information. In version 6, what application are you using? When you go to that application, what type of job are you trying to perform (e.g., audio CD, audiobook Cd, etc.)?

I use Nero Smart, I go to Data, then Make data CD

don't you have an Audio burning option in V6? It seems an audio Cd or jukebox Cd would be a better choice. Not being familiar with V6, I don't know if you have those options.

What doesn't work if you try to create an audio cd? Be more specific about what occurs.

I want to make sure I understand you correctly. Were you able to burn similar CD's (actually any CD's) with Nero before?
