Please Help!
I have been trying to burn DVD's with video from my HD camcorder. I have used Nero Move it to "transfer" video to HD and create movies and saved them to mpg2 files (thinking I could burn them to DVD's later) and uploaded to youtube( which works fine). Nero Vision will let me create movie and burn to DVD but in many cases DVD's will only play on certain players??? I have read the manual and also tried to "import the video" to the HDrive but that does not seem to be the problem. I know it can be done as I have done it before, I am wondering whether the first choice I make (either "create movie" or "make DVD") makes a difference to the "encoding" that is done to the HD (mpeg4) video and that's why it won't playin all DVD players or what it is..... Help me Using Nero 9 thank you in advance This post has been edited by ajharley: Nov 3 2009, 10:26 PM |

Sorry but your decription is a little bit confusing
Do you now create Mpeg 4 files and burn them to DVD or does your created DVd videos disc not play on some Players? |

Sadly many DVD players are picky about the media they will play, there is a list here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
In general terms branded -R media from Sony, Verbatim and Maxell seem to do best but its worth checking the list before you buy ! This post has been edited by JimVF: Nov 11 2009, 04:48 PM |

In addition to what JimVF said, if you go to the Vision help and look at technical information\disk formats supported, there a couple of tables which indicate the disk format versus disk type supported depending on whether or not you are creating an editable disk.
Also, if you go to User Interface\Main Window in the help, it has some useful information of what type of format to use. |
