Live TV: Blocked Tuner

Nero 9 Entertainment - Live TV:

I have dual ATI 650 Hybrid HDTV tuners that have worked in Nero Live TV (Nero 9) in the past, but currently initialize with an error when activating the Live TV function. The error indicates that the tuner is blocked because of an active recording or active PIP...which is not true. No errors are posted to the Windows Event Viewer.

I am running Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, and have no problem initializing and watching either analog cable or OTA digital HD channels in Windows Media Center. However, I also have a similar issue when trying to use a tuner for server streaming under the Cyberlink Live application (which has also worked in the past for serving live TV from my P.C. to my mobile phone). Nero Live TV will scan the channels for both analog & digital portions of both tuners, but will not display any TV channel because of this persistent lockout.

I suspect that an another uPnP/DLNA application; such as Divx Connected, Boxee, PlayOn, Windows Media Player/ Windows Media Center, or HuLu Desktop; actually has the tuner locked and blocked so no other application can use them.

Has anyone else that employs a lot of media-centric applications experienced this symptom on your system? Do you have any technical input as to how to clear a tuner lockout via the registry or other systen manipulation? Thanks!

Take a look at the list that Nate2 posted, It seems that your card is not supported: http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=3522. He received the list from Nero Technical Support.

I am having the same problem as LoMiPo, except it will find the tuners on Nero Vision but not Nero Live. Do you have any suggestions?

Only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest version. Otherwise, I would submit the problem to Nero.
