Hi,

I think I've read everything there is on this problem, but to no avail. I'm getting this problem every time now. I have installed the latest firnware for my dvd recorder. I have also tried a dvd burning software and it burned absolutely fine. Also I have used the same dvd's for years with no problems. I have Nero 8.0.3.0. When trying to burn a data dvd I get the message "BURN PROCESS FAILED AT 16X". I have never had this problem before and I'm a bit confused as to why it's happening. Can anyone help me please? I have included the log. Regards, Jason.

The error you're getting indicates you are using the wrong kind of disc for what you're trying to burn. It also could be that the disk you're using is bad (not uncommon in a batch of disks).

In the Vision help, under Technical Information, disk formats supported/overview, there is a table of compatibilities. You might look at that.

Hi all!

Both log files indicate hardware errors. As wither said, maybe the wrong media or old firmwares. Did you try to update the firmware for your recorders, or try different media?

Also, both picush and WetlandDave have old versions of Nero 8 installed. Maybe an update could also help.

The last update for Nero 8 you can download from here:
