I have the latest everything, bios, firmware, Nero 9. Suddenly I start getting Power Calibration Errors. I have seen notes on the internet suggesting that one should disable IMAPI cd-burning services but to me this does not make sense, and I have not had to do that on other computers.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi cliveG,

the power callibration is controlled by the recorder. Check that you have the latest firmware upgrades for your recorder. You can also try different media brands, and slower recording speeds. This should solve the problem.

To Dr. Nero-

There is the 0x5 and the 0x3 error. The 0x3 usually means the wrong media is being used. Do you have any idea what the 0x5 error message means? Numerous people have problems with this but no one has explained it or how to fix it.

Hi wither,

Unfortunately I don´t know the difference between the 0x5 error and the 0x3 error. As far as I know the power callibration problems are related to the recorder and the specific media. Maybe there are different error codes when the problem is related to the recorder or when the error is related to poor media for example.
