Ok, so I created an bootable Windows XP installation .iso, I slipstreamed Sata drivers to it.

The problem is burning it to a cd, for the life of me I just cannot understand how I am supposed to burn the Iso to a CD so that I can boot from the CD and reinstall windows...

I am using Nero9, I tried following the PDF manual for Nero Burning ROM, but it is to ambiguous for me, technology and I do not seem to go together, so I really need detailed instructions on what I need to do, or something always goes wrong, like at the moment.

I was under the impression that when I start up Nero Burning ROM, I select the option CD-ROM (BOOT) from the CD menu, right? From there, these are the options I selected to burn the CD:

Iso Tab
Data Mode: Data Mode 1
File System: ISO 9660 + Joliet
File Name Length (ISO): Max. of 31 chars (Level 2)
Character Set (ISO): ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD-ROM)
Relax Restrictions: All boxes are checked

Label Tab
This is where I name the CD right? So I name it: WXPOEM_EN

Burn Tab
Write Enabled
Finalize Disc Enabled
Write Method: Track-at-once
Number of Copies: 1

Then I should click on the NEW button at the bottom right? This brings up the Selection Screen, on the left I see, in the box labeled ISO1, the name of the (supposed) CD from the Label Tab. The next box is for the files I am going to be writing, right? Ok, then the next box, the far right box where I can browse my computer, what do I do there? After bringing up the selection screen I am at a COMPLETE loss, I am going insane =(

Dear Meandm

I think for these kind of details you must visit the links below.

I am not sure whether it is going to help or not but you might get the enough idea out of it.

I don’t have the luxury to own Nero 9 otherwise I could have presented you the demo myself.

I hope it is useful.

But on other hand I think Nero people must reply your plea.

Hallo,

you can select the tab "Bootable Disc" in the Nero Burning ROM disc settings.

There you are able to burn your IMA image as bootable disc.

Hi,

you can burn your *.iso file to a DVD by using from the menu "Recorder"->"Burn Image".
