I have recently purchased and installed Nero 8. I am having problem editing/cutting movie scenes and making smaller snippets for sharing. Originally the recording was made on a Sony camcorder (small video reel). The movie was recorded on DVD using the video output on the camera. I can play the movie through my DVD and view it on TV. I have “read” it into Nero express and have been somewhat successful in editing the original. My problem is that I cannot generate a small snippet, all I can do is add to the original asset. I can play the edited version but I cannot copy it to its own file. What am I missing?

Once you have cut out the segment of video you want, to make it truly its on video file, you willhave to Export that segment to an AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, etc format using Nero Visions Export feature. Otherwise, even though it's been CUT, it's still part of the one large video file you imported.
