I all... I usually use DVD shrink to create an ISO when I back-up my DVD's. Can I convert an ISO to MP4 to play on an ipad or the like? Thanks. OR... what do you all usually do when creating a digital copy of your personal copywritten DVD's?

I have a feeling that you can't do a direct conversion.

If you burn it as a DVD-Video, you could then import the disc into Recode, select iPad as the Device and recode it. The file could be transferred to your iPaD. You could also import it into Nero Video\Nero Vision and Export it to mpeg-4.

Perhaps someone else will have a more favorable answer for you. If no one else responds, you can ask tech support at the chat line or by e-mail.

Hi kk5551,

Unfortunately you cannot convert ISO to MP4 directly by Nero. If you want to convert other video formats into MP4, you can use Nero Recode as wither said. To make a copy of DVDs, you can select the Image Recoder and burn a copy to your hard drive.

Best regards,

Workaround: Install WinRAR, open the *.iso file with it, copy the VIDEO_TS (and AUDIO_TS) folder(s) to a directory of your choice and import the DVD into Recode from there.

That's an elegant solution. I didn't know that RAR would extract an ISO.
