I purchased the Nero 12 Platinum upgrade that came with the promotional software bundle, including TuneUp Utilities 2012. Unfortunately, this product will not even load in Windows 8. I confirmed that it was not compatible on the product's web site. Version 2013 does work with Windows 8 (they have a free trial) but the registration code I got from Nero will not activate the newer version. Although I don't know whether or not Nero should have offered the latest version of the utility program in the special promotion, they should, at least disclose that the version they offer is not compatible with Windows 8.

I agree with you. You should send an e-mail to them asking them to mention that it's not Win 8 compatible.

I wonder if it would install using a compatibility mode?

It won't load in compatibility mode. I tried Window 7, Vista and XP. Plus, I would be worried about using a program that "fixes" you registry if it is not completely compatible.
I did send an email to tech support.

You wouldn't think that a program that worked in Win 7 wouldn't work in Win 8 (Win 7 with a different interface). I'm glad you passed your concern to them.

Enjoy!

Hi Viventis,

If you check from this webpage, you can find the compatible system for the free tools and more information:

The trouble is, it doesn't say the tuneup utility is not Win 8 compatible. It says Win 8 compatible at the top in regards to v12 but nothing afterwards.

Windows 8 has kept the emotions of old Windows users by keeping Microsoft Outlook in its latest version viz. Windows 8.seo firms
