Sorry, Title should read Starttrack. New to the forum. Hope for some suggestions.
Uninstalled Old NEC ND-3500A (starting to fail) and Pioneer DVD-ROM (non Writer). Installed 2 Toshiba/Samsung SH-S222A OEM drives. Updated firmware on both to SA00. I have a single IED-I Ribbon first drive in-line from Motherboard is Master last in line is Slave. Copy process no matter what the sequence (E:to D:, D: to E:, E: to E:, D: to D:) I receive the following: Burn Started... Command Sequence Error D:TSSTCorp CDDVDW SH-S222A Could not perform StartTrack Burn Failed... Disc Media has very well for years. Unless I have the Master/Slave incorrect. Any suggestions? Update: I changed the master/slave settings. D: Master E:Slave - I am now able to create a DVD from using the DVD-Video Files from the HDD. I also created one by selecting the source DVD and using those as DVD-Video Files. I have not been able to copy entire DVD from D: to E: yet (creating coasters), maybe E: DVD Drive is bad. Will keep posting. Seems to be the COPY process (COPY Entire DVD). If I use the process mentioned above it, using the VIDEO_TS files from the source DVD (D:), it will create playable DVDs (E:).
