Procedure to duplicate this issue:
1. Start Kwik Media and observe the durations times for the slides of each existing project. 2. Modify the duration for one of the projects. 3. Exit Kwik Media 4. Hi ArmandLiberi,
This problem can have several causes, we need some specific information for analysis. Please send an email directly to techsupport@nero.com. The Nero Tech Support Team will be glad to help you. Best Regards, FarmerSmurfFFA |

Hi Armand,
If I understood your description correctly, I'm having the same problem on my PCs (Win7 and Win XP SP3). These are my steps to reproduce the issue: 1. Create a slide show in Kwik and set the slide duration to 5 seconds. 2. Create a second slide show and set the slide duration to 10 seconds. 3. Go back to the Browsing Projects screen, then check the slide duration of both slide shows again, just to make sure nothing has changed yet. 4. Close Kwik, then open it again and check the slide duration of both slide shows. --> Both slide shows have the same slide duration: 10 seconds. Conclusion: The slide duration you set last is valid for each slide show in Kwik. Sounds like a pretty bad bug :-( I'll pass on the problem description, maybe the issue can be fixed soon. Hi people,
Sorry, your problem is caused by not understanding the now current concept of KM. That's not your fault because there is no note to find about this issue in the manuals or the online help. You don't have projects in KM like in NV. Means, you are not able to save object type specific settings (e.g. duration) for a particular slide show. The options for a specific object type are defaults and are valid for the whole KM environment. So if you change an option the previous value is replacing the previous setting for all objects in the KM environment when you open a new KM session. That's no bug or lack of the application. You have the same in the Recording Format Options of NV e.g. Of course current projects are not affected by changes in the media profiles. But if you have changed settings there, they will be valid (defaults) for a new project and you have to check for correctness previous to opening of a new project. Conclusion: If you would like to keep/save this settings you must create a project via "Advanced Editing" resp. you have to check and possibly to change the settings if you are editing a slideshow again in KM. I think this would be an issue for a new blog in MyNero because there are some other corners in the "behaviour" of KM which can have influence on the condition of the users system environment and which are unknown to many users. FarmerSmurfFFA , as I have seen that you are relatively new on this forum (actually 14 posts) a note to supporting. First and foremost, it requires precise knowledge of the products and continue to, if you want to help in a problem, it needs always at first an attempt to reconstruct the "problem" on the company's internal systems . Otherwise, it can lead to a wrong recommendation like in this case. It's a complete nonsense to send an email to the TS for this reason. It is not up to TS to explain things that really should be documented in the manuals or the online help (and there are also mostly there). You should also be aware of you, that support isn't easy and is a responsible task. This means that no recommendations/instructions may be delivered, which not have been tested or confirmed as correct before (I'm assuming the company has a database for this purpose), because otherwise they can lead to unnecessary effort or even to new problems for a user. hg This post has been edited by hg-dude: May 25 2012, 02:23 PM |

Sorry, Hans-Gerhard, but your post is caused by not understanding the projects in Kwik ;D But seriously, Kwik does have projects. I don't know if you've had a look at the latest version, but it even has its own "Projects" category. You can e.g. create slide show projects with individual settings for "Themes", "Titles", and "Music and Duration" (otherwise, all slide shows would have the same look and music...). Regarding the fact that it doesn't save the individual slide duration for each slide show (after a restart of the application) - that's definitely not the way Kwik should work.
The issue has been officially reported now and is being taken care of, so Armand won't have to contact Tech Support as FarmerSmurf suggested. |

I have Nero 10 but I think it's the same in Nero 11. I know exactly what I am knowing from my experience and my consequence from that has leaded to my suggestions above. If you are meaning that problem is a lack, I have delivered suggestions for circumvention in minimum as long the alleged "problem" exists. To follow them is yours. I am not expecting ty's for that.
Anyway, I have the feeling meanwhile I am on the wrong place here and my support is no longer needed. Therefore bye bye, - although I like the color RED so much. But not as argumentation ;D This post has been edited by hg-dude: May 25 2012, 04:35 PM |

The big red letters were from me to lila-asta, the first Nero employee to take something I reported seriously. The comments about Kwik Media having projects were from lila-asta to you. If it's me that has that mixed up, I', sorry. Anyway, thanks for the compliment on my trial video and thanks for taking the time to make your blog entries. Armand |

lila-asta is not a Nero employee !
Anyway, enjoy the beautiful Pentecostal-holidays without stressing you with KM and Nero problems (e.g. with relaxing in the Aquatic Gardens). Btw, did you know? Your are more likely to be bit by a mosquito (as a new species perhaps called KM ? :D ) in your neighborhood than at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Well niow, I can't wait to hear from lila-asta! I enjoy your pictures. Having never heard of the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, I found their website using Google. It looks quite impressive. While there, I clicked on "View Park Map" (at http://www.nps.gov/keaq/index.htm). See attachment. Bugs everywhere! |

I found this Kenilwork Aquatic Gardens by a search in Google Earth with the title of your video. But I just have seen, that's not the environment shown on your slides. If this is your private area, congratulations.

The Aquatic Gardens I pass by on my walks are part of the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA. I left you a present at MyNero. http://ArmandLiberi.my.nero.com/blog/7508455 Simply enjoy! Regards, Armand P.S. Please brace yourself - it has those same old aspect ratio difficulties, I think! |

Thank you so much, it's a wonderful park. i have posted 2 screenshots from Google Earth for additionally documentig your video. The first image will be supplemented by markings of locations where your pictures in the slideshow were token. That's working I like. See
http://hg-dude.my.nero.com/blog/7508475 and http://hg-dude.my.nero.com/blog/7508474 . Btw, I took care to the aspect ratio problem in this blog http://hg-dude.my.nero.com/blog/7450945 . Take a look to the release date. It was the time I was testing my first installation of Nero 10 and the reaction on the unsatisfactory comment I got from the TS to my thread. I tried three different ways to add links to your Google Earth images - none have shown up as hyperlinks! Sorry. I won't have time (or, probably, the memory) to tag each slide as to exactly where it was taken. I can definitely say that none of the photos were taken inside the main building. They have a new "flower show" in there for each of the seasons. It's very nice, but $$$. You didn't mention the other aspect of the slideshow - the occasional appearance of a dog and a woman, etc. Comments? Soon, it's time for me to gets some practice with a shovel myself! You can not add hyperlinks to pictures only to blogs. You have to insert as text as you have done.

KwikMedia version 1.14.12000.23.100 appears to have fixed this problem.
