I don't know what type of DVD it is. Is it a DVD that the photos were just copied to (data DVD)? If so, you should be able to transfer them directly to your hard drive with Windows Explorer.
In one of your other threads, you mentioned it is a slide show so it would be in video format. Copy the vts_.....vob file to your hard drive and import it into Vision. then use the camera under the preview window to take a snapshot of individual photos. |

This process sounds rather complicated. As you are aware, as we have discussed this, there are 2 main video types of files, VTS_ and VRO files. Both types can be IMPORTED into Nero Vision. Does not most Video viewing programs have the facility to capture pictures, from a DVD, which are then stored in a DEFAULT location designated in the DVD viewing program. |

Nobody said it would be easy but, then, it's only a two step process. I get the distinct feeling that markhopeful is ploughman.

Withers advice is the only possibility at the moment. Unfortunately Nero chopped the options in their video player software (Kwik Media). In the past you could capture pictures during video playback in Nero ShowTime.

yeh, now you have use advanced publishing in KM, which takes you into Nero Video or Nero Vision, and you have to do what I suggested. I wonder if they'll fix all the things we asked for in KM when v12 comes out.

I hope so, too. Nero ShowTime was an extremely good media player. I cannot imagine, that people would have wanted to chop all those options and possibilities, since a lot of people ask for those options.
The same with Nero Recode. Although there are good ideas in Nero Recode 5, many important options, that were removed, are now asked for again by many users. It seems as if that was a quite small market research with the wrong kind of targets. Besides most beta testers asked for adding those options again, but unfortunately weren't heard by Nero. In Recode they now partly begin to add former and important options and should recognize, that leaving formerly extremely good software to a far more rudimantary usable software isn't always the best way. Although you want to keep a software simple, you should nevertheless think of an advanced mode for the more experienced people. Finally it also works in Nero Video with its two modes. |
