Hi,

I have recently bought an HP Pavilion DM1 notebook, which does not have a DVD drive.

I have some exisiting software on DVD i would like to install onto the notebook, Is there anyway of burning these DVD's onto a USB stick using Nero and install using that?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks.

You could create ISO-images with Nero's image recorder and copy them onto your USB-stick then. Or just, copy the setup-files from DVD/CD to a folder on your USB-Stick. But if those software-CDs/DVDs have a copy protection you won't be able to get a working ISO-file. The same applies for the file-copy method.

If it is a normal (non copy protected) data-DVD, you can just copy the files with the explorer to usb stick.

Thay are manufacturers original software DVD's so they may have copy protection on them.

I will try burning them as ISO-files and see how I get on.

Thanks for the replies.

Just copying the files into a folder on the USB-stick would be the easier way.
