Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 compliant graphics card with 3D acceleration, 16-bit color, and a minimum of 128 MB video memory is required (32-bit, true color, 256 MB dedicated video RAM, and support for Shader Model 3.0 is recommended). I can't tell if this chipset meets the basic requirements. Intel does recommend that you set your page file (virtual memory) to 1.5-3 times the amount of RAM you have. Note that the page file doesn't change automatically when you increase RAM, as you did. It may make a difference. Of course, the page file is part of your hard drive free space.
You can have more than one problem into tech support at the same time. |

I have submitted this issue to tech support. I included questions about my video controller and having multiple issues being open. Waiting. |

New video card, same problem. You were right on both counts. |

I'm glad I was right but that doesn't solve the problem. I would rather you would have spent your money on a bigger hard drive but the new card should help you in the long run when you get into video.
Let's see what tech support has to say. |

Yes, I agree. It seems like it's a black hole. I think they're getting ready to issue a major update and, if so, it probably has tech support tied up. I don't know for sure.

Nope. Don't have time to personally ask them about it. I mean, I had to spend four hours on the golf course today. I've mentioned to them that they're not responding to my numerous e-mails on various subjects to no avail. Sometimes I think that they don't treat my inquiries seriously because they think I'm only trying to help somebody else. That's not the case.

In the beginning, I thought I was alone in being ignored. However, once I started reading these forum entries, it became very clear that I was not! But, then, there's that old saw: "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not picking on you." This topic is a perect example. After customer support made it clear to me that this "is a singular issue," I asked for others to try the little test. You and (only!) one other obliged and confirmed it. Even that hasn't spurred them on. If I were to guess, I'd say that someone has made a judgement call that even though the error is readily repeatable across different OS's, it isn't important since it occurs in rather bizarre circumstances. However, in my experience, this is a perfect problem to investigate - repeatable, simple, etc. And, moreover, solving it may just shed some light on the random encoding problems in Recode and the not so random problems I have with Kwik Media encoding upload files. In any case, I would think that the very simplicity of the issue would make someone at Nero investigate it out of curiosity or even embarassment! A little off topic, but a similar tirade would apply to Recode and Kwik Media ignoring their own "Temp folder" settings (also not fixed in the latest update). Did I mention that I was told Nero does not support USB devices by tech support? I never heard of Nero before buying my USB DVD recorder that came with Nero 9! Sometimes, it is just baffling. I could spend the day ... |

As far as I know, Nero does support USB 2. One person said it didn't recognize USB 3 and I asked him/her to contact tech support.
Yes, it's very disappointing that tech support isn't replying to some of these issues. Now that the big update has been issued, perhaps they'll turn to these unanswered questions. |

Sorry wither. I found release notes for v11.2.10300. But there is nothing to find about solving problems relating to the actual threads, e.g. for KM. Since I have Windows7, I am intersted in an upgrade of my Nero 10. But as long as the now current problems are not claryfied I am not prepared for installing due to the risk of "endless" trials under the now current unsatisfactory situation with the availability of NTS. I am wondering about the patience of some people here.

I have spent a little time reviewing your blog entries and have tried a couple of variations on my own. Previously, I thought that the upload conversion was the problem - from the FAQ: "Are there any restrictions for uploading? With a free My Nero account every user gets 100MB of free online space. Take note that uploading a 100 MB video file may not necessarily use up all your 100 MB allotment, as we convert video files into flash format, which is typically smaller in size than other formats." Even now, I have no idea how to find the actual file type, size, etc. of my uploaded files. Thanks again for the examples. |

You can calculate the size of your uploaded file on the MyNero server with the informations you get under My Profile/Media Files based on their difference between previous to and after upload. The uploaded file is compressed to about 15% of the original file.
The screenshot shows my data. They contain all my videos (totally about 110 MB including those in blogs), pictures and blogs I have publicated until now. So don't worry, you have enough storage space for some files of the size of 100 MB. Please understand, that I don't comment your last upload. From my view it's a case for Tech Support. Thanks again. I've been into my profile and noticed that the numbers don't go up as much as I thought they should. So, that's cleared up. More generally, the uploaded files don't seem to be able to be sorted alphabetically, by type, etc. I'll have to be more careful in naming them (or learn more about it). In regard to my last upload - more frustration than anything else. But, maybe an idea will come out of it. I haven't been able to get tech support's attention. |

I looked at your video earlier but didn't really get a sense of what it is supposed to show.

Armand (to your reply of Mar 4 01:52 AM): What you see under "My Files" is only a listing in the order of uploading, the last is on the top. Therefore the file name is irrelevant. What you can do is adding some info to"Description".
