How can I place track splits precisely? I play through the file until I get to the place I want to put the track split, but if I click on 'insert track split' it inserts the split at the point I started playing, not the point where I stopped and wish to insert the track split.

There always has to be a track split at the start of the audio file. Once in place, you should be then able to place the next track split where you want it. Don't ask me why- it baffles me also.

Thank you for your reply. I did already know there has to be a track split at the beginning of the file. The reason for this must be that if you're splitting a file into tracks you have to start with Track 1!
Be that as it may, my problem is that I need to place a track split *exactly* at a particular time, and there seems no way of doing this. Clicking on the waveform isn't precise enough. |

Have you tried zooming in on the area where you want to place the split?
