Has NERO realized yet that when we use SoundTrax, we want to be able to see the artist name and song title show on the CD when played? Why would you be able to type in the information if you cannot read it on the CD? There has to be a patch out there to fix this right?

Sorry, but i don't fully understand your question.
So, you burned a cd with soundtrax, right? And then, you don't see title information, right? Is the device you are using for playback cd-text capable? |

Yes. Whatever device I am using for playback does not display the artist and song info, including windows media player which only displays Track 1, unknown artist.
When you are in SoundTrax creating a Mix, there are tabs under Audio Format settings / Artist/Title Information soure where you can select where the information comes from. There are three different options: File Info Block (MP3Tag) From File Info Block From File Name I have burned multiple CDS experimenting and all I can ever get to display is the Name of the over-all project. |

What jens-f wants to know is- does the optical drive (s) you're using support the use of CD-Text. You would have to look at the documentation.

Yes. Whatever device I am using for playback does not display the artist and song info, including windows media player which only displays Track 1, unknown artist. Again: Do you at all have a cd-text capable device? E.g. windows media player is NOT able to handle cd-text form scratch (somebody said, that there is a plugin - but I don't know details). Please note: Most CD-Players does NOT support CD-Text. Please look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-TEXT Here, you can also see the CD-Text logo - only if your player has this logo, it will be able to display cd-text information |

I think the CD drive that I am using supports CD Text because when I used to use ROXIO and burn CDs, the text would come out with the project. How would I find out if my CD burner supports CD Text?
I switched to NERO, 'cause ROXIO did not play well with my SONAR software. I love the fact that with SoundTrax I can use multiple tracks which opens the door for getting creative with mixes. I want to be able to have the burned cd show the song titles and artists name on the finished product. "Track 1....unknown artist" makes my project seem less than professional. Run the Nero Infotool. Look under drive. It will tell you if it supports CD-text.

Beats me as to how the drive was allowing CD-text in Roxio.
I think when you run the InfoTool, you can select individual drives to see their properties. The machine I'm on right now has only one drive. |

Well for now, I owe NERO an apology. I thought the software was lacking, but I have to look at my CD/DVD Burners.
I didn't even know that my second drive wasn't working. I have to take my computer to ALTEX where I had it built. Thanks for your help. |

Let us know how it turns out. I assume you also looked at the Device Manager to see if your second drive is working.

The second drive does not even show up in devise manager. I opened up my machine to ensure all was connected, which it is. The drive must have just died. I will need to get a new one.

Hello, everyone,
Have a same problem with displaying of CD text (title of songs). My CD player shows all the CD info (title of CD and all songs names) on all CDs previously burned on Roxio. After using SoundTrax it shows only CD title, instead of songs names are only track1, track2 etc. Do I do something wrong or is Soundtrax simply not capable burning songs titles names? Should I use another application in NERO? Thanks in advance, Gerd23 |

In the burn screen, under the CD tracks list, you can select properties and add the information you desire. Does this work?

I also face this problem of entering "CD-Text" while burning my sound tracks into an Audio CD. I know how to reach to the CD-Text area while burning in Nero Burning ROM/Express, but it has limited support for CD-Text. It only allows to enter the 'Track Title' and 'Artist Name', not the Album Name and other details. I have a High End CD player which reads CD-Text. So today I tried with another tool to burn my audio CD. Its known as "BurnAtOnce" its free for personal use. (It is no more available from its company website but I could find it from here) it has better support for CD-Text. Please try.
Has NERO realized yet that when we use SoundTrax, we want to be able to see the artist name and song title show on the CD when played? Why would you be able to type in the information if you cannot read it on the CD? There has to be a patch out there to fix this right?

Hi all,
We could reproduce this problem in the meantime, and it has already been forwarded to our software developers. Unfortunately in the meantime we have no other workaround to suggest you, other than to use Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express to burn using CD-Text. We apologies for the inconvinience. Best regards, Infohelp |
