I have Nero 9 StartSmart, and according to the manual, I should have a button saying "MP3 jukebox disc". However, the audio burning screen only says "audio cd" and "Nero digital audio+ jukebox disc". They are also explained in the manual, but I just seem to be missing the MP3 button. Can anyone tell me how I'm able to burn an MP3 disc? Thanks!

Are you using an Essentials version of Nero? What is the version number for Burning Rom? What is your operating system?

Hi Firelighter,

An mp3 CD is nothing else than a Data Disc. You can simply create and burn a Data disc or use Nero Express.

In Nero Express select "Music" > "Jukebox Audio CD".

Best regards,

I have Nero 9 StartSmart Essentials on Windows 7. Tried making a Data Disc with mp3 files, but it doesn't play in my cd player, which should be able to play mp3 cd's.

Edit: found the button I was looking for, tried burning and it works in my cd player now. Thanks for the support!

Hi firelighter-

Glad you found the button.

However, if you want to do other things with Essentials in the future and you find that they don't work, it may be a result of using an Essentials version which is not Win 7 compatible. In that case, you should download the general clean tool and the latest update to v9 from nero.com.

You will need your serial number.

run the general clean tool to uninstall your Essentials version. Run the Windows Disk Cleanup utility and reboot.

Turn off anti-virus and install the latest V9 update, using your serial number during the installation. You will still have Essentials but it will be updated and Win 7 compatible.
