Just got Nero 10. I tried to play several differenct mp4 files. Some played video, but no sound. Some played sound, but no video. I even tried samples Nero provided - same problems. When I first installed Nero, mp4 files were associated to Nero. I ran the update. Now Windows finds no program associated with the mp4 extension. What? I have to go into MediaHub to play mp4, and as I said ...

The only reason I can think of is that the patent isn't activated. When you try to import a mpeg-4, you should get a message about patent activation. If you are online at that time, you should tell it to activate it. That should take a few seconds.
If you have Nero MediaHub, you haven't update v10 because MediaHub has been replaced by Kwik Media. Go to the Nero ControlCenter and run the check for updates. |
