 Nero ROM Encoding? |

I'm new to using Nero was wondering after I select my .mp4 files will Nero Rom encode them to be compatible with the dvd player before burning?

You don't need to recode mpeg-4 files to be able to create a DVD-Video. However, the files have to be authored into the DVD-Video structure before they can be burned to DVD and be playable. You can do this in Nero Video and burn them directly from Nero Video. If you don't want to do editing or the addition of effects, transitions, etc., just select DVD, DVD-Video in Nero Video and import your mpeg-4 files. Then you can either add a menu or skip a menu and burn the files directly to disc.
