New installation of Nero 10 HD so I can play blurays and it is letting me play them, but it's not showing the video properly. It's like theres a strobe going off. If you could ignore the flashing (or lack of an odd frame?) the video is not stuttering or anything, the audio is perfect and it's all lined up correctly so I can't work out what it might be.
Changing the acceleration settings (either on, either off, both on both off) makes no difference. New drivers for videocard.
Tried several different blurays and all have the same issue, DVD's are fine, video files are fine.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what it could be and how to sort it out?

We don't allow flashing in the forum. :D

I always have to ask. Have you checked for updates lately?

Strange. Are the flashes random?

If you open Make Blu-ray in Vision and import either the file or the disc and play it, do the flashes show up in Preview? I'm not sure that you will be able to import protected material but you can give it a shot.

I was doing updates, but of course it turns out that I was doing updates in the old Nero ControlCentre4, not in the ControlCentre for Nero 10 HD as that was buried a couple of folders deeper!
Only when I was tidying up something else I found the new one, thats the problem with upgrading I guess!
Sorry to have missed something so obvious.

Out of interest the flashing was totally regular (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrrutfPB_4M) and you can't import the disc into Vision. It starts doing that but then can't finish it off.

Thanks Wither :)

Are you saying that the problem has gone away now that you've updated? I hope so based on what's shown in the file at youtube. Since you couldn't load it in Vision, it's probably copyrighted or otherwise protected.

Judging from what you said, you ran the Control Center execute file. For information (in case you didn't know it), when you open StartSmart, you can click on the icon in the lower left corner of the screen, select Toolbox and then the Nero Control Center. You can also set it up to do automatic checks for updates, at a periodicity you can specify.
