I wanted to add additional files to a DVD I burned, but did not finalize yesterday.
I placed the DVD in the drive, opened NERO, got to the add files screen, and it showed the files I previously burned in the add list. I think this was my mistake... I removed those files from the list, and added the new files to the list. When the burn was done, only the new files appeared in Windows Explorer. Should I have left the files previously burned files in the add list? |

Hi Jeffrey,
I guess so - I just tried it out and I did *not* delete the previous added files. Result: I can access both old and new files on the disc. I noticed, that the previous added file was greyed out. Did you experienced the same? Greetings, Wada This post has been edited by wada0013: Jan 20 2012, 03:02 PM |

Nothing was grayed out, the only files that appeared at all were the ones I had just added. It was as if I'd never put the previous files on the disk, except now the DVD was nearly full. Fortunately, I still had access to all files I wanted to put on the DVD, so I burnt a new one.

Did you create a multisession disc the first time? If so, I believe you need to have the disc in the drive before you add to the compilation. If you don't, it can't see the original files before the burn and the player won't be able to see them on the final burned disc either. This is a crude assessment but the subject is covered in the help file (which I haven't looked at in a long time).
