I replaced my old desktop, (XP) months ago with a new desktop (Windows 7) and have tried to reinstall my Nero 7 Enhanced on it but it keeps saying I have it installed on too many computers.
I have emailed Nero twice and twice they say that they have given the ok to use this on my new computer. But, it still says I have it on too many computers. The old computer died and was broken into pieces and is no longer usable at all, but, I didn't have a chance to do an uninstall of Nero. I've uninstalled it on my new computer and reinstalled it after getting the ok from Nero with no luck. Am I doing it correctly? All I've been doing is popping in the disc and following the instructions. There is no way I can get the older computer up and running to uninstall it from there. Thank you for any suggestions. |

The major issue is that V7 isn't Win 7 compatible. That's got nothing to do with the problem you're seeing. I'm just mentioning that because some things may work but, eventually, you'll run into something that won't. Tech support won't handle problems with this hardware/software combination. The earliest Nero version compatible with Win 7 is 9.4.26. You can use your v7 to get a discount on v11.
To uninstall v7, did you use the general clean tool that's required? |

Not that I like the solution, but, problem solved, I'll be updating and thank you so much for the reminder of the cleaning tool needed. I've looked up the site needed for the cleaning tool and have it ready to download.
I'm hoping that 11 is good and won't be a problem. Thank you very much! |

I recommend going with Platinum even though it costs a few more bucks. It includes things like the DTS and Kwik Blu-ray plug-ins that you would have to buy separately from v11 and provides more features in Nero Video. Just depends on what you're doing as to whether or not you want them.
