Hi there,
Hoping someone here can help me. I used to burn multisession DVDs with AVI files on them with Nero 7 but unfortunately that computer died. My new computer had Nero 9 Express Essentials SE installed on it with an OEM licence. I've been using it to add files to my existing multisession DVDs and they've been playing on my DVD player with no problem. However, today those DVDs were full so it was time to burn a new one from scratch using Nero 9 Express Essentials SE but now my DVD player won't play them saying that they're unsupported? I tried burning the files at a lower speed to see if that helped but it didn't. These are the same DVD -r's I've always used and as I mentioned above, adding files to the DVDs created in Nero 7 are fine, but creating a multisession DVD from scratch in Nero 9 no longer seems compatible. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what have you done to overcome it? Thanks in advance. |

Go to Nero.com and download the latest update to v9. If you don't have it, also download the "general clean tool".
Make sure you have your v9 serial number available. Run the general clean tool to remove your copy of v9 (note it will uninstall all versions prior to v10). Run the Windows Disk Cleanup utility from Accessories in Win 7 or Vista (cleanmgr.exe in XP) Reboot. Turn off anti-virus. Install the v9 update, using your serial number during the installation. You will still have an Essentials version but it will be updated. Now try the multi-session burn. |
