I have nero 8 and it says that it is the express version. I have a movie that I have on the hard drive from DVD shrink and want to burn it to a disc with nero. The tutorials that I have found show a different page of nero than what shows up with the start smart Icon, therefore rendering the tutorial useless. How do I get the movie off the hard drive and onto the disc?

Hi Paramed,
I guess that you purchased Nero 8 Essentials (a version that does not include all functions of the full version). If you have VOB, IFO and BUP files as source files, you can use Nero Express to burn those files onto a DVD-Video disc. If you have WMV, MPG, MP4,... files, you have to use Nero Vision to creat a DVD-Video disc. The manuals for Nero Express 8 and Nero Vision 5 can be found here: http://www.nero.com/eng/support-nero8-manuals.html |

Hi Paramed,
Dr. Nero is correct. If you have not found out how to do this with the Users Guide, since you do not have Nero Burning ROM, you need to do the following. Launch Nero Express (Do this by launch Nero StartSmart, click on the 'FLAME' icon in the bottom left of the window, select Nero Express from the programs listed) Once Nero Express is launched, make sure you have DVD selected in the top left drop down window, not CD. Then Choose the DVD-Video option Add your VOB files created by DVD Shrink, and burn to DVD Regards, Craig |
