I'm totally baffled. Using Nero 10 HD Platinum. Making a blu-ray and having inserted the clip, I made chapter marks before and after each set of adverts, then deleted the chapters containing the ads, but when I burnt the blu-ray the ads were still appearing in full. Any ideas anyone, cos it's driving me nuts.

Hi BluRay-Bert,
Please make sure you have removed the ads successfully, after removed the ad, then you can check hte preview. If the ads are removed on the preview, then after burnt into BD, the ads should not come again. If the problem still persists, then please kindly send us your problem to techsupport@nero.com, then we will analysis for you. Best Regards, TailorSmurfNY |

How did you delete the video between chapter markers?

The method you're using doesn't delete any video.
Chapters are simply markers in a title that allow you to fast forward or backwards to particular points in a video while playing. When you define them, you can use them on a menu to create a button for selecting the area between the markers when you jump to menu between playback. To delete the video between markers in the Contents screen, you have to use the scissors to define the start and ending of the video you want to cut. When you do this, the cut part will be shown on the right hand side. You can then select it and then select delete. After you leave the Contents screen, the cut part will no longer be there. Did you know that, if you go to Edit from the Contents screen, you can select the Ad Spotter? Running this will detect the ads in a video clip and allow you to delete them. |

Ok, thanks wither. Not sure what the point of the delete button there is then if it doesn't delete the chapter selected even though the chapter vanishes from the list when you hit delete. Anyway, I'll give that a try. Thank you for your help.

Read carefully what I said in regards to what is a chapter and how the marker is used.
Let me know how the cut worked. |
