 What does asterisk mean alongside track? |

I know this is a really stupid question, but what does asterisk mean alongside the track number in an Audio CD list? And what will clear the asterisk?
I think it means the track has changed since the project was created. But saving the project does not clear the asterisk so I'm not sure what is going on... |

Which version of Nero are you using?
Can you provide a screenshot of what you're talking about? |

It is quite an old version: 6.6.1.15 Attached is a screen shot of Nero Express - Nero Burning Rom is similar. There are 3 tracks with the *.

The closest thing to v6 I have installed is v9.
Is the format of those three files different from the others? Is the total number of characters in those file names significantly different than the others? I wonder if those songs are in the database used in v6 (similar to Gracenote in v9 and later). I'm just taking stabs in the dark. The easiest way to find out is to send an e-mail to tech support. |

Per my original post, those tracks were changed after I created the original compilation. So I can understand the * is useful to tell you that the track has been updated. But I would expect that update flag to be reset once the compilation was saved, but it is not - * continues to be displayed. It is not a serious issue, just something that is confusing more than anything else! Thank you again for your responses! |
