If you look for this error on the web, it goes back many moons and has caused consternation in all kinds of programs. The 3.5 and 3.0 netframe still use the 2. for some services. Something apparently got screwed up by a relatively recent Microsoft Windows update. Nero is trying to recover from that. I run Vista and don't get the problems most people are getting although I just found a similar problem when I try to do something buried in backitup for which I'll be sending an e-mail to tech support for resolution.
My recommendation is as before. Send an e-mail to tech support. Run the getsupportfiles utility first and attach the resulting nerosupport.cab file to your e-mail. |

Hi all,
I am very sorry to hear that the problem still persists, the latest Nero 10 update should have solved this problem. Maybe in your cases the problem is caused by something different. I will ask you to please contact TechSupport in this case to get further assistance. It is very important that our TechSupport receives some more information on your systems and the crash itself to be able to forward this info to our development team. So please, contact TechSupport and indicate that the problem still persists. As I said before, as far as I know, the problem has been solved with the latest update, and we did receive some positive feedback from customers reporting that the problem has been fixed. Unfortunately it seems that under certain systems the problem still appears, according to what you reported here. We will try to fix this, but please contact Support again for further assistance, Best regards, Infohelp |

Can anyone help with this one problem I am having with Multimedia 10 MediaHub. Just came off a installing Multimedia 10 with no problems opened up all the programs with success but when it came to MediaHub, I end up with the error message that "Nero MediaHub has stopped working", and it asks me to check online for a solution and to close the program. When I look at the "problem details report" the first few items are:
Description: Stopped working Problem signature: Problem event name CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01 mediahub.exe I am running Windows 7, just wondering if anyone else has encountered this error and what the fix might be |

Hi, I have the same dramas with Nero Media Hub 10, Nero tech said that the fix would be in the next update, guess what? it still won't work. Windows explorer shuts down as well as Media Hub 10. Very frustrating, I am thinking that I should have spent my money with another brand!

The update that just came out isn't considered an official update. I guess it's an interim update since I don't know what is the distinction. The official update is supposed to be out this fall.

Well here we go again according to "infohelp" which I believe it is a Nero tech rep? that they want us to send in the error report again. I had done this back in May with no results in fixing it, and now they want me to do it all again which I did I just sent them for the second time the "NeroSupport.cab" files for them to look at and see what they have to tell me again. If this is also a Microsoft issue then they should be in close contact with them to try and resolve this issue with Microsoft 7 (this is the OS system I am using). I guess we just sit back again for a few more months to see what follows, Oh I know the release of Nero 11

They may think they resolved it in the update. If it didn't work, then they need to know about it.

well the nero updates came out yesterday and I downloaded and installed them but after rebooting from the install I still get the same message that I got from the very beginning of this thread. So I have no ideas left on what I can do to get this resolved. Nero told me 3 months ago that they tested out their update and that the update from yesterday 8/16/10 should correct my problem but it has not. I tried the other advise of unistalling nero and reinstalling it 3 times all with the same results. So I guess there is really nothing left to do about this problem I am having. You're not alone. I'm having the identical problem and the update did nothing toward correcting the issue. I intend to follow up by involving Nero Tech Support. Waste of money if I can't use the program. Yes, I have read the WHOLE thread and yes I have tried every "solution" without any success. |

I am having the same kinds of problems... On a fresh install after cleaning out my registry and all temp files MediaHub works. After a few days I always experience the following close the program error:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: MediaHub.exe Application Version: 1.0.11.100 Application Timestamp: 4b670fa3 Fault Module Name: MSVCR80.dll Fault Module Version: 8.0.50727.4927 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a2752ff Exception Offset: 00008aa0 Exception Code: c000000d Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: a2ae Additional Information 2: a2ae61b65c11b4c379345c98f47daffb Additional Information 3: a765 Additional Information 4: a7653c15ffd71808c4debedafca15934 I have updated my Windows 64-bit routinely, and I know I don't have any viruses, malware, etc. Reinstalling or using the repair option in the uninstall procedure does not solve the problem. Nor can I reinstall it using the Data Cab file in the AppData directory for Nero in my User Directory. I'm stumped. Please let me know if anybody finds a solution. ken_niebling@yahoo.com Ken |

Application Name: MediaHub.exe Application Version: 1.0.11.100 First: This is an old version. Current version is 1.0.26.100. Please install the updates (Nero Control Center -> Check for Updates). If the update does not solve your problem: When exactly this occurs? Did you do any special? (E.g. playback a file?) Or just after starting mediahub? Greetings, Jens |

I am curious about the installation of MediaHub 10. Opening the routine and checking the info supplied from the 'Drop-Down' menu in the 'HELP' option. I get a display 'About Nero MediaHub', this also refers to 'Nero Vision Extra'. This now bring into question the additional info on the display, which does not agree with your info that the version is 1.0.26.100. My display shows the version as being 1.0.14600.26.100, that is addition info .14600. The installation was installed in April/May ahd as far as I am aware there has not been an update to MediaHub. The only changes since the origin release were some minor ones to do with NCC and Backup. That is when I have prompted an update check. Since April the only programs that have apparently been released were individual routines in August. I have been informed that the contents of those are identical to the original release and were apparently prompted by USERS who did not want the FULL Multimedia package. |

My display shows the version as being 1.0.14600.26.100, that is addition info .14600. There is a difference between FILE VERSION and Product Version. Each executable file has an own version. 1.0.26.100 is the FILE VERISON of MediaHub.exe. 1.0.14600.26.100 is the Version of the complete "Package" Media-Hub. You can see the File version by simply click on "properties" -> "Details" in the Windows explorer for MediaHub.exe The current versions are: File-Version of MediaHub.exe: 1.0.26.100 Product-Version of MediaHub (as shown in the about-box): 1.0.14600.26.100 The installation was installed in April/May ahd as far as I am aware there has not been an update to MediaHub. The only changes since the origin release were some minor ones to do with NCC and Backup. That is when I have prompted an update check. No, this is not correct. On August, 10th an update of the following applications was released:
In opposite, niebling reported: Application Name: MediaHub.exe Application Version: 1.0.11.100 So, niebling still has an older version of MediaHub installed. Greetings, Jens |

I'm having the same issue; using Windows 7 x64. "Nero MediaHub has stopped working" appears right after launching it. I've tried the compatibility modes on the EXE but that hasn't helped. Nero ControlCenter says everything is up to date.

Yes, i have tried all the "fixes" without success! skren ;) I upgraded from nero 9 to 10 just last week and I'm having the same problem with media center as well as backup. I notified techsupport and it took them a week to get back and all they told me was the same old story other are getting, "uninstall then reinstall" I did that but still nothing. They did say they would give me my money back if the reinstall does not work. Most of the program works fine just those two very important areas. Does anyone know of another good compatible program?? If so please let me know. Perhaps what we should all do is ask for our money back and maybe they will work harder to find a solution to our problem! |
