Hello all. Just upgraded to Nero 11. The back up software can see my *.nba files which were created using BackItUp4, but when I try to perform a restore I get the above error message. I'm running a win 7 64 bit os with the backup files on a separate local drive.

I think your going to have to e-mail tech support.
However, did you run Backitup 4 in Win 7 or is this a new installation of Win 7? If it's not a new installation of Win 7, did you uninstall Backitup 4? There have been conflicts between Backitup versions. |

Hello Wither. Thank you for the reply! This is a new pc, and a new install of nero11 platinum. I know the backup's are valid and working because I can restore them usiing the ver4 which is installed on one of my other computers.

Is the topic title the whole error message?
I was thinking it might not open the files because the configuration of the hard drive on your new system might be different or it can't find the .nbi files that are normally installed on your C: drive whenever you make a backup. However, the error message you listed isn't consistant with either of those. The only thing I can think of is to try to install Backitup 4 on your Win 7 machine. |
