Hi everyone. I speak spanish.
Well, I already installed Nero 11 on my computer, but I have a problem. When I run Nero WaveEditor and I want to record sound, I can't. It says: QUOTE Se ha producido un error al intentar abrir el dispositivo de salida de onda. QUOTE "A problem occurred when trying to open output device." I made a screencast of this situation. Check it out and give some solutions please: Ayuda con Nero WaveEditor - YouTube Thanks in advance. |

When you first selected Record, it told you that a sample format hadn't been selected. Instead of selecting one, you just clicked on OK. Instead of doing that, go into the list of sample formats and select one and then select OK.
By the way, I noticed that you are opening Nero by going through the Start\All Programs. Instead of doing that, click on the Nero 11 icon on your desktop. That will open the Welcome Application from which you can select any of the Nero apps. |

I did that too, but...nothing changes. What's more, I had no need to choose a sample format when I had Nero WaveEditor of Nero 10.

I hear you about v10 but, this morning, I had to reselect the 44 hz sample rate (I didn't change the bit depth) and select OK to make it work. Tonight, I don't have to do anything.
Did you go to the Nero ControlCenter and run the check for updates? |

Did you go to the Nero ControlCenter and run the check for updates? Yes. I installed all updates right now. But, wait a moment. I was trying something before installing updates. When I open any sound file, I can record from any input device (Wave, Stereo Mix, Microphone, etc.) whereas if I open Nero WaveEditor "in blank", I can't start recording... so I don't know if the problem is exactly on the program or another program installed on my PC doesn't allow to record, although I doubt that. Anyway, this screencast shows the programs installed on my PC: http://sdrv.ms/M7mmYG |

Every audio device I saw in your screen cast seemed to be an output device in Wave Editor. Are you sure, that you've activated your audio input on you sound card or plugged in a microphone to it?

Then I think that should be the device you select in WE. I think you selected that in your youtube video but you moved so fast I couldn't tell. If you go to Device Manager, is that working properly? Do you have the latest driver for it?

I checked the lasted drivers for my sound card, but nothing. I had to downgrade the version of Nero to v. 11.0.11000 to record sound and I think the program is the problem... maybe on the build (I don't know nothing of the system engineering. I see you're still going the long way to launch Nero.
Why is it showing WaveEditor 3? The current version is 6. |

I know, but why should it be showing v3? Did you have an old version of Nero installed previously?
