I assume the DVDs are video. Did you chose DVD-Video in the burn screen? The other two options require a blu-ray player.
I guess you haven't checked for updates lately. NMHub has been replaced by Kwik Media in the 10.6 update. This post has been edited by wither: May 17 2011, 02:20 AM |

Hi lisa4172,
In addition to wither´s comment, generally the DVD has been burned correctly as long as the burn process has finished without any error messages and as long as the burned DVD can be played on a computer DVD drive. Problems that occur while playing the DVD on a standalone DVD player are likely caused by incompatible media. The following steps could provide a solution for this issue: 1. Try a lower write speed. 2. Try another brand of recordable disc: Try a recordable disc from a different manufacturer (e.g. TDK, Verbatim, Imation, Yamaha, HP, ...) It also advisable to contact your disc burner manufacturer to ask which recordable discs have been tested with your specific disc burner and which media is recommended. 3. Update the firmware of your disc burner: Please contact your disc burner manufacturer to get the latest firmware for your drive. An old firmware can cause compatibility problems as well as burn failures. 4. Do not use RW (rewritable) media as some standalone players might not recognize them. Standard DVD-R/+R media usually work best. 5. Check if a new firmware update for the standalone player is available and if so, install it. You can find additional information on the website of your DVD drive manufacturer. 6. try burning with Nero Vision directly and choose other quality settings in Nero Vision. To change the quality settings, open Nero Vision and click the "More" button followed by the "Default Video Options" button. --> The "Default Video Options" window is displayed. Click the "DVD-Video" tab, go to the "Quality setting" drop-down menu, and choose "Standard Play". Burn a DVD with these standard quality settings and check if this DVD can be played on your standalone DVD player. Best regards, Infohelp |
