I'm trying to make a recording of me singing some songs. I used Nero Wave Editor and the Karaoke tool and saved the file. Then I opened the track in SoundTrax. I'm using an USB microphone, but when I record the vocal track, there is a delay between my voice and the music track. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I assume you're using Mix Stereo project.
Are you recording while the waveeditor file is on the track? Or are you recording and saving and then trying to mix the two files. Just trying to get an idea of how you're proceding. I've never done this so I'm kind of flaying around. Our expert audio person hasn't been here for three weeks. Wither |

Hello,
I’m just checking to see if there is an answer to this question about recording delay? I’m experiencing a similar issue. Thanks! Tom |

I am not using waveeditor. I'm recording multiple tracks, like bass on track 1. Then moving to track 2 and recording guitar. I haven't gotten to mixing yet but these tracks would be mixed. As soon as you try to play along with track 1 it is out of sync. I'm guessing it is out of sync by at least 100 milliseconds because of the latency setting. You can also experience this problem by connecting a instrument to the computer and monitoring via digital monitoring. At the digital monitoring setting, it seems there should be an option to monitor input instead of playback.

I understand but this person created a file in WaveEditor first. Sorry about that.
When you're done recording, just select both tracks and hit the Align button on the toolbar. |

I’m disappointed with this response and software.

Why are you disappointed with the response. Doesn't the Align tool work?
