Wonder if any one can help on this little issue. I run Nero 10 but use Showtime 8 to watch videos.

I also have Hallmark greeting card 2009 software. when you email an avi, it shows the greeting card fine with windows media player but with Nero 8 it is almost impossible to see the stetched image. but audio works fine. I have talked to Hallmark and as usual they blame nero!!!! Can anyone help as most of my friends have showtime. So cannot email cards?

Regards

Nick

What codecs did they use? Remeber: avi is just an container - it can contain different codecs

Does the files plays with nero 10?

Thanks for the reply Hallmark cards have sent the following message

"Thank you for contacting Hallmark Technical Support.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not have the information for the codecs. Have you contacted Nero yet? They should be able to check the configuration for their software. Happy Holidays!"

I do not seem to be getting anywhere can you help?

I did a custom install of nero 10 so do not have video player installed. The AVI from hallmark cards works with windows media centre and Quick Time version 7.5.5 (990.7) but does not work witth Divx player 8 same problem very vertically stretched front cover of hallmark card. I am running windows 7 operating system if you need more configuration details please ask

regards

Nick

I got the file and played it in V9 ShowTime and below is what I see. Do you have the latest update to V8 installed?

Do you have "enable hardware acceleration" checkmarked in the ShowTime options? If yes, try unchecking it. If no, check it.

When you open ShowTime, click on the Hammer icon in the upper left hand corner. Select Video. The option I'm telling you about is the first item on the opening screen on the right. You can't play a video and select this option.

Many thanks for persevering with me , I have already been through this options list with a fine tooth coomb, by right clicking in full screen mode.

I have checked again all options from top to bottom and cannot see anything that looks like hardware acceleration.
